Grammar review

PRESENT SIMPLE / CONTINUOUS

SIMPLE PRESENT
infinitive
(3rd person singular : infivitive + 's)

((i speak))
((you speak))
((he/she/it speaks))
((we speak))
((they speak))

Exceptions
  •  After o, ch, sh or s, add s
  • After a consonant, the final consonant y becomes ie
  • For can, may, might,must do not add s.
Negative Sentences

add don't / doesn't to make negative sentences
i, you , we, they --> don't
he, she, it --> doesn't

((you don't speak))
((he doesn't speak))

Interrogative

((Do you speak?))
((Does he speak?))

Time expresions

always, often, usually..

((they go to the cinema usually.))

PRESENT CONTINUOUS
form of 'be' and verb +ing

((i am speaking))
((you are speaking))
((he/she/it is speaking))
((we are speaking))
((they are speaking))

The negative and interrogative sentences in continuous its same to present simple.

PAST SIMPLE

VERB+ED OR IRREGULAR VERBS

((Sualis called xaloc))
((Sualis spoke with xaloc))

Negative sentences

Use didn't or did not to make negative sentences

((you didn't call xaloc))

Interrogative

((Did you call xaloc?))

Time Expressions

normally, yesterday..

FUTURE WILL / GOING TO

when we want to talk about future facts we use ''wil''

subject + will +verb + rest of sentecnes

or

subject + going to +verb + rest of sentences

((I will call xaloc tonight))  (( you are going to call xaloc tonight))

Use will when want to express a voluntary action, promise and prediction, and use be going to to express a plan.

Negative

Add not after will.

(( i will not call xaloc))

Interrogative

Its same than past simple, only put the subjecct first.

((Am i Going to meet xaloc))

Time expresions

Tonight, after that, tomorrow...
